Hotel Petrus is a family-run place, made for recreation in the natural surroundings of the Dolomites. It is located in Brunico, South Tyrol. Each room is individually designed, with many natural and wooden elements. The “Dahoame Spa” follows the same style and offers various wooden saunas with pools and resting areas inside and outside for perfect relaxation. The region is popular for mountain activities throughout the year. The family grows their own vegetable garden at the Lechnerhof, which can be enjoyed during summer with fresh, regional vegetables in the restaurant.

The team is passionate about offering gluten-free guests a wonderful holiday that stands out from the usual gluten-free experience. Breakfast is included in the price of accommodation, along with an afternoon snack, and half board with gourmet dinners can be booked on request. If you happen to be around in the region, you can come by for one meal on reservation.

Gluten-free offer
Hotel Petrus offers meals containing gluten but is a recommendation for people with celiac disease thanks to its gluten-free concept. By now, Hotel Petrus has been catering to gluten-free guests for 25 years. Since then, the culinary team optimised kitchen processes to ensure safe preparation and undergo a specialised dietary training. The restaurant developed their own recipes for delicious, fresh, gluten-free bread and cakes. The gluten-free concept includes, among others, its own oven, freezer, and warehouse.

Every meal is served directly to the table to avoid contamination. Gluten-free meals have a small sprig of parsley on their plate, which is the restaurant’s discreet sign, helping gluten-free guests to feel safe and comfortable and not be treated as something special. Almost every dish can be served gluten-free on request. To start the day, a breakfast board with a homemade vitamin smoothie, a sweet and savoury dish, and a large selection of egg dishes to choose from is served directly at your table. Overnight guests are invited to a complimentary “Marende” in the afternoon, with salads, soups, and homemade gluten-free cakes. If you have dinner in the restaurant, an adjusted gluten-free gourmet menu is waiting for you, with homemade pasta, knödel, and much more.

Specialities
Hotel Petrus has a special offering, the “Petrus.Secret.Picnic”. You will be sent off with a hiking map for a short walk in nature and will find a romantic picnic in an idyllic spot prepared for you.

The hotel is not only certified by the Italian Celiac Society but is recommended by the German Celiac Society and the German-speaking Swiss Celiac Society as well.
