Gluten-free safety

The small and cozy restaurant offers Sami, Finnish and Scandinavian cuisine and happily caters to all dietary needs. As a Sami reindeer herding family, self raised free range reindeer is a speciality of their menu. The team specializes in using fresh locally sourced ingredients and minimizing food waste. A wide selection of gluten-free options is available.

Please let them know upon booking and arrival about your dietary needs and they will happily adjust the dishes for you. The restaurant in Utsjoki has received the certificate of gluten free service from the Finnish Coeliac Society.

The Holiday Packages

Arctic Summer
Enjoy nightless nights full of sunlight in cozy cool temperatures. Experience activities such as sailing the Arctic Ocean, hanging out with wild puffins, diving into the Sami culture or an Arctic Ocean king crab safari.

Trail Running Week
Trail running through endless open landscapes, combined with comfort of a cabin and your own sauna and carefully prepared food.
Available in August.

Active Ruska – Autumn Foliage
Enjoy the peak fall foliage season, wich is only two weeks out of the year, with guided leisurely hikes to amazing locations.
Available in September.

Autumn Northern Lights
Autumn is the perfect time of year for milder weather, to see Aurora reflections on yet to freeze open waters, fall foliage and the more likely possibility to go on a King Crab safari in Norway (which is dependent on weather for safety).
Dates available from September to November.

Winter Northern Lights
Winter is the most common time to see the Aurora Borealis. The Polar night still offers plenty of daylight for fun winter activities such as snowshoeing and reindeer experience, while the long nights are perfect for Northern Light chasing adventures.
Dates available from December to March.
